  • Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is known as the “Gentle Art” but, it is a full contact sport. We cannot guarantee that you will have any injury free experience but, that is largely dependent on how you train. We recommend that before each class you trim finger and toenails to an acceptable length (Ask any instructor what is acceptable if you are unsure) as well as that you remove any watches, bracelets, rings, piercings, glasses, and any other jewelry. If you have longer hair we strongly suggest the use of a hair tie. Also while it is not necessary to have them to train you may wear a mouth guard, cup, wrestling headgear or knee sleeves.
